Completed with Thanks - Aberystwyth death notice
« on: Friday 19 November 10 04:42 GMT (UK) »
I am researching my wife's family tree from here in Australia and have hit a snag which I hope someone may be able to help with.
My wife's grandfather William Lomas Caunt born 5th March 1889 and died in Aberystwyth 21 November 1954. I am hoping someone can look up his death notice for me and tell me where he is buried and then maybe I could ask someone to find the grave and photograph the headstone and inscription if there is one.
Any help is much appreciated
Barry Smith

If you get any further, let me know, I'm not too far away, although it would be helpful to know if he was Chapel or Church in Wales.

Hi
I have Williams death certificate (vol 08a Page 192 ), but it is his burial details I am chasing. I would think church is more likely than chapel. They lived at Cruglas farm, Synod Inn but he died in the general hospital Aberystwyth so maybe he was transferred back to the farm area and buried locally.

I have managed to find his burial place and wonder if anyone could photograph the headstone if there is one for me.
William Lomas Caunt was buried 24th November 1954 in Llandysilliogogo as an Anglican, he was 65 at death.

Hi Barry,

He's probably in the churchyard of St Tysilio. Will look into it for you, although it may take me a week ot two.
