Hi,

I am looking for the following missing information, would appreciate any assistance you could give me.

George Hood (b.  unknown/1770, where unknown, death unknown) and Catharine Chrystie (b. unknown/1780, where unknown, death unknown)
Parents of George and Catharine unknown
married/banns: January 12/1795 Strathmiglo
Child: Barbara Lyon Hood (b. January 5/1801 Strathmiglo d. unknown/1881 Leslie)

William Smart (b. unknown/1772, Collessie, death unknown) and Margaret Dingwall (b. unknown/1776 Collessie, death unknown)
Parents of William and Margaret unknown
married/banns: December 30/1796 Collessie
Child: John Smart (b. June 29/1799 Falkland d. March 19/1847 Quarry Accident in Forthar Lime works, was living in Shields Bridge at the time)

John Smart and Barbara Lyon Hood
married/banns: January 13/1823 Collessie

There is a death on SP for a Barbara Hood (other name Smart) died  at Leslie (Fife) aged 85 in 1885.

Hi

Looked up the Death Certificate on SP.

Barbara Wood  (wido of John Smart, Labourer) died 17 Sept. 1885 at Strathendry, Bleachfield, Leslie, Fife. the daughter of George Hood (Farmer) and Catherine Christie (both deceased)
Cause of death Senile Decay and the informant was Elspeth A Reekie (Grandaughter) going by the 1881 census Elspeth would only have been 11 years of age.  I take you have a tree on Ancestry.

Thank you for very much for the additional information on Barbara.

Yes, I do have a tree on ancestry and you are more than welcome to the information contained within.

I have left the tree public so that anyone can reap the benefits of my searches.

I have just posted two snippets of documents regarding William's and Margaret's marriage.

Its seems William was from Collessie, but Margaret is from another parish.

Hopefully if someone can identify the parish, I can again make some headway.

We will just have to wait to see if my post passes the litmus test.
