Harris/Hodgkiss/Astin in Lower Gornal, Tipton and Oldbury

I am trying to research my family from the Lower Gornal, Oldbury and Tipton area. My ggg grandfather Edward Harris was born 11/June/1844 in Lower Gornal parish of Sedgley. I believe that his parents are William Harris from Tipton according to a 1851 census, and his mother is listed as Sarah Harris late Smith formerly Brookes on his birth certificate. I guess that this must mean that she was previously married. Edward married Jane Hodgkiss in 1865 in Quinton. Jane was born on 9/Oct/1844 on Furnance Rd in Oldbury to Thomas Hodgkiss and Jane Astin(s). The 1881 census has the Harris family living at Union Street in Oldbury. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks- Susan

I'm a bit unsure as to what you want...

However, I can confirm the following from the IGI:
5 Mar 1832, William Harris of Tipton, b. abt 1809 & Sarah Smith, mar. Sedgley.

William is also listed as a miner.
