Thankyou for your query on the Palmer surname in Pembrokeshire.
‘Palmer’ is a very common surname in and around the parishes that make up the Haverfordwest Registration District on Free BMD.
If Gladys did marry in Haverfordwest Registration District is would be in one of the many parishes, chapels, or registry offices covered by this Registration District in 1924
I went down to the Library this morning and looked at Ancestry for 1901 and I note that the Census has the fore names the wrong way round for Ida she is shown as Gwenllian I Palmer living at Boulston Lodge Boulston H’west with her siblings Beatrice R., Gladys M, and William all born in various English locations. Her parents are shown as Alfred and Beatrice Palmer a Coachman Groom.
Gwenllian (or Ida) is shown as aged 1 year being born at Glydowern in Wales, I suspect this should read Clynderwen.
I can confirm that there is no reference to the baptism 1899 to 1900 either of Ida Gwenllian or Gwenllian Ida Palmer in Pembrokeshire.
Returning to the mrge of Gladys it is just impossible to search every parish, chapel and registry office in the H’west registration District in the hope of finding the mrge you seek, not least that 90% of Chapel registers are not deposited at the Record Office. Ofcourse there are no deposits UK wide at all for mrge’s at Registry Offices. The best I can offer is to check the 3 main parishes of Haverfordwest Town those of St Martin, St Mary and St Thomas, in the hope she mrd Mr Hughes at one of these.
Sorry I am unable to assist further.
