I think 101 was the manager of Dysart gas works if I remember my research--at present deep inside a cupboard.
These Cummings may be distant relatives of Colin Cummings------- have not yet established the link.
Colin was the eldest of a Cummings family that 'went'
Colin (seaman), b.c.1793-d.1829--buried in old cemetery, St. Serf's I think it was (MI index)
Alexander (seaman), 1825-1899
Colin (boiler -maker then wine and spirit merchant), 1851-1903
Alexander (wine merchant). 1873-195?
It is odd Colin is not buried locally. 1903 was well before cremation started.
I doubt they were listed as Cumming. The earliest surnames I found of this family were Cummins and Cummens then they were Cummings.
