Porth
« on: Thursday 14 April 05 09:00 BST (UK) »
Please could some one tell me the name of the free newpaper for Porth. If possible the address or the e-mail address too. I am trying to trace my cousins Douglas and Jean Simmonds.
Their parents were William and Olga Simmonds from Cymmer, Porth.
Thank you

This may help you?:

http://www.walesontheweb.org/cayw/index/en/072/978

If you are stuck you could always post a free advert in the adtrader in the Welsh region:

www.adtrader.co.uk

Or if none of the above helps you, you could contact Porth Library I am sure they will not mind pointing you in the right direction:
http://webapps.rhondda-cynon-taf.gov.uk/libraries/porth.htm

Unless Olga Simmonds has passed away recently, her name still appears within the electoral roll at the same address you mention (I will now delete her address from your post ~ as a precaution hope you do not mind?) I will p.m you other names in the area with the surname Simmonds listed. There is no match to a Douglas or Jean Simmonds.

Hope this helps you
Regards Jen  :)

May I suggest you put the request in The Rhondda Leader.

They regularly have letters from long-lost friends & relatives searching for people in the area.

If your cousins don't read this paper themselves, then you can guarantee that someone they know will and pass the message on to them.
