I couldn't find it--there is a "Newcastle" section in the Co. Durham records that shows Newcastle St. Nicholas but it only goes to 1822 (even though it says 1855).  Just where is it?  There is one year of "Saint John" which is Newcastle but under Co. Durham.  Under Durham (City) there is nothing with the years 1823-1855.

Janis/Gladys,it is on the BTs under Northumberland-Newcastle upon Tyne-1823-1855 Durham St Nicholas page 290.I'm not sure why it has Durham before St Nicholas maybe it came under their jurisdiction??

Hi there
I cannot understand why you are saying the year isnt there?
I found it John Darling marriage to Jane Steavenson at
St Nicholas Parish, reg and non conformist Church, Newcastle
upon Tyne on 2nd December 1832?
It has a M in front of the number so therefore, as far as I am concerned its a exact date??
regards
Sandymc  :)

So half of the transcript is under Northumberland-- Newcastle--Durham St. Nicholas, and the other half is under Durham--Newcastle--only one to choose from.

The letters with the numbers infront are from trancripts done by the LDS called the IGI extraced records.  I have no idea why the LDS has the transcripts for Newcastle St. Nicholas under Durham except that Durham City has a St. Nicholas also--right by the town square where all the statues are, going up to the castle.
