all emigrated to lyon twp, oakland county, michigan in late 1860s early 1870s any info would be great.

1880 US Census City of Lyon, County of Oakland, Michigan
Dist 257 Page 3

Joseph Davies (55) Farmer born England
Mary (50) born England
Dau Lissie or Kissie or Missie (10) born in England
Dau Matilda ( born in England

1880 report not very full of info --  no immigration date, etc.  1890 doesn't exist.  Will look in 1900.   Hope above is helpful.

1900 US Census  Oakland Co., Lyon, Michigan

Joseph Davies age 74  born June, 1825 in England    Farmer
Mary age 70 born April, 1830 in England
Mary had had 11 children only 8 surviving
(in 1880 we were only seeing 3 all born in England/Wales)
Immigration date for both Joseph & Mary is 1865.

There is no 1890 US Census for MI.  Only a fragment exists and covers only 10 states.

This may or not be your family:

1990 US Census  Oakland/Lyon/MI

Edward Davies age 39  born April 1861 in Engl/ Parents both Eng.  Immigration date is 1870  --  Farmer
Wife Minnie  age 37 born Aug. 1862  born in MI parents from NY/MI
They state married for 15 years (i.e. 1885)  Have had 5 children all surviving
Joseph W  age 14 born Apr 1886
Carl E age 12 born June 1889
Minni M age 6 born June 1894
Hazel J. agae 3 born Dec 1896
Jessie (dau) age 8 mos born sep 1899
