 Trying to find info re my estranged fathers family.
Andrew Clark Harley married my mother Helen Lyall Robertson
on 6th January 1940 at Crown Hotel Cowdenbeath.Divorced 1946.
Address for Andrew....11,Whirlbut Crescent ,Dunfermline.
According to legend his father William & mother Janet had quite a large
family.

  1897   William Harley & Janet Farmer

There is a tree on Ancestry which is researching William Harley & Janet Farmer of course this could be yours.

Hi again.

William Harley aged 26  married Janet Farmer 20 on the 15 July 1897 at 35 Netherton Broad St., Dunfermline, Fife
That was also the address William gave as his ur.  His Father was George Harley dec. and Helen Grieve.
Janet's parents were Robert Farmer, Carter and Grace Campbell decd.

William is down as a Gas Stocker and Janet is a Damask Weaver.

Found another tree on Ancestry it lists children as   George Harley b 1898,
Robert b.1900, William b1901, Nellie Grieve Harley born 30 Dec 1906 Dunfermline, died 11 Aug 1985 in Ashington, Northumberland.  She married a John James Allan Clark b29 Sept 1903 and died 21 Apr 1982 at Dunfermline and there is a Linving Clark.

You will need to double check everything as things on Ancestry can be wrong.

Found the Birth Cert. of Andrew Farmer Harley b 1908 and he was a twin the other being Alexander Farmer Harley .
Andrew born at 3h. 50m pm 2 Nov 1908 and his twin at 3h 55m.  born at 85 Priory Lane, Dunfermline.

Nellie Grieve Harley was also born at 85 Priory Lane, Dunfermline on the 30 Dec 1906.
