Anna Bennett, Ipswich

I am hoping someone may be able to help fill a gap in my Bennett family.

Samuel (b 1845) and Anna (b 1852) are at Shire Hall Yard, Ipswich in 1871.  Their son, Samuel John Eli was born April 1871 and Samuel snr died in 1872.

I can't find Anna or Samuel jnr in 1881.

I have Samuel in 1891, single, age 20, Baker in Ipswich.

I have looked for a marriage for Anna after 1872, with no luck.

Does anyone have any thoughts please?

Longshot - what was Anna's maiden name?  Could they be with her family and under that surname

I am fairly sure she was Ann(a) Maria Ellis, but this information was from another member of the family, which is why I am trying to cross check and confirm.

There is a marriage on freebmd in Ipswich in 1869 for the 2 names and the 1871 shows her as Anna M

That fits.  I have Sept 1869 in Ipswich in my records.

There is a John & Ann Ellis in Ipswich in 1861 with a daughter Ann M.  The same family in 1871 with several more children, and again in 1881, but no Anna or Samuel listed.

I have tried various sites and spellings, but still no sign of Anna and Samuel.  Does anyone have any more thoughts please?
