I am looking my ancester Christopher Jones b. about 1813 Liverpool England.

Lived in California in the early 1850`s and then died in Australia in 1855

Married in California in 1850 to a Jane Davis/Davies

3 Known children:

Elizabeth b. 1851 NSW Australia d. 1852 Vic Australia

Robert Christopher b. 1853 d. 1859 Vic Australia

Henry Joseph b. 1855 Vic Australia d. 1891 Vic Australia

What was his fathers name on the marriage, you would need this searching for such a common surname.

Sorry l do not have the Marriage Cert.

The info comes from the Birth Cert. of Henry Joseph.

I have tried to find the Marriage cert in California but no luck as yet.

Where did you get the information that he was born in Liverpool

From his son`s birth certificate in Australia.

There are seven Christopher Jones on the 1841 census two were born in Ireland, two born in Wales two in Lancashire and one not known but living in Leicestershire

The one is Leicestershire appears to be married with three children

one in Lancashire is living with 9 year old with a different surname  and the other appears to be with a family perhaps mum remarried

I do not know if he was already away from England in 1841. 

I am having someone  trying to find out for me of when he arrived first in America and then Australia.

Looking closer at the details I posted looks like that Christopher was also married

Have just checked the Lancashire On Line Parish but J hasn't been put into the database yet
