Deal to Portsea
« on: Wednesday 12 January 11 14:09 GMT (UK) »

I am not hoping for records for my family member William Sheppard who with his wife moved from Deal to Portsea and back. His children were born in Portsea and Gosport but later turned up in Deal.

I would like to have an idea of what life may have been like for this family. This between the years 1760 -1780.

I have no idea whether he was a marine or a carpenter.
Can someone point me to a link that will describe their life a bit more and what they may have experienced.

Thank you all

Lis
