morning all I now have a minor problems with 10th-12th of June and although I can still make it the 3rd-5th would be preferrable but it all depends on everyone else plz let me know M x

Both dates look fine to me. June 11th is my (?) birthday!! but not a problem.

OH picked up the Black Country leaflet from a local source yesterday and it does really look good. No prices on it though and we were wondering whether to take the grandchildren next week as it's half term.

thought it would be useful to post a few decent hotels as dudley is deceptive the nearest travelodge I think is clasified as Dudley but in Oldbury and although a straight route to where we need to be still a couple of miles out so hope these help M x

will post some details soon regarding transport but will say there id NO TRAINS into Dudley itself I known there is a Sandwell & Dudley station (which is in Cradley Heath and quite a way out of the town) there is a regular bus service into town but I would need to look into this. Other train stations are Wolverhampton/Coseley and from there the following bus services are available to my knowledge 126,558 and 581 and has Dudley family history centre is located in Coseley the 126 and 581 services Wolverhampton bound get you in close proximaty to there. 126 is best service all round. Trains are also available from Birmingham New Street and these services are 74, 87 and 126 - the best service imho is 74 which does go through West Bromwich (past the baggies) so please be aware of that x

sorry I havent added for a while I have not been too well. I'm hoping to contact the station hotel re the friday evening meal if anyone is arriving early it should be a nice evening meal there. They also do ghost tours but I think they are only on selected dates no harm in me asking about the tours though. I think its best to keep meet as simple as possible if anyone is arriving on the friday let me know as we can go around castle, churchyards, old priory ruins or the smaller museum of a mixture of a few. The saturday we will go along to the Living museum and then have pub meal in the evening possibly at the Bostin fittle a real black country pub. Having said all that am still open to suggestions x

I just had a lovely chat with the people at the Station Hotel in Dudley and if we are quick we may be able to book in there for an evening meal on the saturday let me know if yu ar all good to go with this. There is so much history attached to the hotel and its central to where we want to be. Let me know as soon as yu ar able M x
