Is it possible these signatures were from the same man.Bearing in mind they are 42 years apart.The first one he would have been 23 and the second 65.I know signatures can change a lot,just wodered if any handwriting guru could spot a similarity somewhere.I sit awaiting  your replies with interest,anticipation and a cup of tea

For what it's worth, and I am no handwriting expert, I think there are enough similarities in how the letters are formed for it to be the same hand, with many years in between the two.

Hi Copperbeech,thank you for your input.Jen the G and the little branch on the upstroke of the B were swaying me.I thought I would throw it open to the many talents on here for some back up.The biscuit is a hobnob and I can't find a way to email it but will gladly send you one by post if you are in any way desperate.

This yes vote does mean that the genius that is MonicaLesl was correct all along and the woman she had put forward as my elusive great grandmother was correct.I take my hat off to her,well I am not wearing one at the moment but will pop and put one on to perform the ceremony
