tiny needle - huge haystack - Davies in Merthyr (desperate)

I am totally stuck!!  I have so much yet so little, and can't move forward.

My Grandmother (Eliza Ann Davies) amongst others had a Brother called William Davies, born 1891 in Tirphil.  William (or Billy as he was known) married a Florrie (Florence Nellie) Davies (MN) in 1915 in Merthyr RO.

I have them both on a newspaper cutting in 1939, and I know they had 3 boys:  Brinley Davies, John E Davies and Leslie James Davies (1919).  Brinley was having treatment in a Hospital in Bridgend, and I have contacted them to see fi they will release information, but they did not hold anything that they are able to give me.

The other 2 Brothers moved to Birmingham, and I know one of them went on to have 2 more boys - but again, with a name like Davies it's nigh on impossible to locate them (I have them on the electoral role until 1972)

I need help back in Merthyr though ..... I have a letter dated August 1968, from Florrie, and in it she mentions that Billy has died, and is buried in Brithdir.  I can't find his death - there are far too many William Davies's ...... Florrie was living in Morlais Street, Pentrebach in 1968 !!!

Is there anyone that could suggest something here please?  Maybe Florries death?  The informant would be a help.

I've found a Florence Nellie Davies who died somewhere in Glamorgan in 1977 (sorry can't access any more detail than that without a subscription). There is also a Florence Nellie Davies born December quarter 1894 in Neath 11a 816 - is this her?

oooh - thank you (both).  I'll apply for that certificate - hopefully it will bring me a bit closer to this elusive family of Davies's !!   

It's odd because she was a "charachter" in the area of Merthyr they lived in.  I have spoken to a few people that say they remember her (she was dark skinned, which was unusual for the time/area - but I don't think she was ethnic) but don't know what happened to her.  Hopefully, this will answer THAT question.
