Looking for information on the record of Henry Hiesley in the West Kent Regiment which he joined in 1882. He was born Much Woolton in 1855. Patrick.

Thanks Pegasuss, failed to find anything on Henry. We just know he joined the West Kents in 1882, and the next sighting is 1887 on his way to the US, having abandoned his wife and family. He then changed his name to Henry Buss and remarried. When he died in 1932 in California, he left his property to his children in Lancashire. He managed to keep under the radar in the US until 1920, but we are really looking to see what he did between 1882 and 1887.

Sorry you could find Him, it can sometimes be a bit of a problem finding decendants military records.
