Grandson's name
« on: Sunday 30 January 11 12:25 GMT (UK) »
I have a family in the 1911 Census at 77 Greenhill Road West Bromwich comprising
Thomas Nevitt (head) aged 51
Maria (wife)  53
Thomas (son) 22
Ernest (son) 19
John Walsh (grandson) 9
Fennell Richard (brother) 50

Since the grandson has a different surname I presume there must have been a married daughter that is not shown (possibly dead)
Could someone please find the family in earlier census' to see if there was a daughter.
and also the family of Thomas (head) in the 1861 census.

Thankyou.

Actually I think both statements are correct - 1891 shows a different wife!

32 Oliver Street, Aston, Birmingham RG12/2422 folio 61, page 5

Thomas Nevitt 30 Scalemaker
Kate 27
Thomas Nevitt 2

It looks as though John Walsh may have been the son of Harry and therefore Maria's grandson and the stepgrandson of Thomas.
