Information on wills.

I have found the death date for a distant relative in the USA. The date is 1988 and is in Connecticut.  I would like to know if one can search for wills in the USA and if so where and if there are time limits set.

I would think you'd need to contact the court directly for such a recent date.  There's a directory by town here:  http://www.jud.state.ct.us/scripts/prodir1.asp
