Burial - Joseph and Hannah Webber - possibly Wokingham *COMPLETED*
« on: Saturday 05 February 11 09:47 GMT (UK) »
Is anyone able to please look up a burial for Joseph and Hannah Webber? Joseph married Hannah Tolley in 1787 in Wokingham, their children were born in Barkham between 1788-1802. A son John lived in Wokingham. I have found a Joseph in the FreeBDM who died 1840 in Wokingham who may be him, and no Hannah.

Any help much appreciated.

Joseph Webber burial 23 Jun 1840 Wokingham All Saints aged 78
Hannah Webber burial 28 Dec 1805 Barkham St James

There's also a Hannah Elizabeth Webber buried 11 Sep 1865 Wokingham All saints, aged 74, too young to be yours of course.

All from the Berkshire Burial Index

Thank you very much Anne  :)

What a shame there was no age for Hannah, but at least we have a rough idea given Joseph's age. I think the Hannah Elizabeth could be Harriet Elizabeth, wife of John Webber, who was born 1791, must have been a transcription error or something.

Cheers,

Kells.

There are several infant burials at Barkham St James if these are of interest?

Hi Anne,

That could be family, I'm not aware of other Webbers in Barkham. Thanks!

Thanks Anne,

The first five from Barkham are children of Joseph and Hannah, so sad so many died young. Of the others I recognise Edward and Thomas as their children also, I'll see where the rest might fit in.

Thank you for your trouble!

Kells  :)

You're welcome! I see there's a typo in the list - George Webber 1961 should be 1861!
