Brick Wall, William Smith born c1843, South Cliffe

Looking for any help finding a brick wall cxalled William Smith born c1843 South Cliffe father Robert Smith.
I have only found this person in one census i think it was 1891 could have been 1901, after he had married Harriett Worledge 26 July 1890 in Beverley Register Office he was a Widower, Blacksmith father Robert(deceased)
I have searched Ancestry & Find My Past with no succes whatsoever so if anyone can find him in an earlier census i would be most grateful,

Hi...In 1851 Census there is this one:

6, Clappison Square, Sykes Street, Hull

Robert Smith...36 Whitesmith b. Ottringham
Mary Smith......40 Wife b. Preston
Robert Smith...10 b. Hull
William Smith...5  b, Hull

You've probably seen this one and discounted it.

Hi Treetotal,
Yes i had seen this entry, but discarded it because Robert was born Ottringham and William was down as Hull.
As you may well know South Cliffe may belong to Pocklington District, both his father and himself where Blacksmiths and i found it strange that i could find no entries in any census but the one i found, i did find Harriett in Beverley with children in another but no sign of William.
It is possible that he was living in another county but as you can imagine by the surname its like looking for a needle in a haystack, i also thought he may have emigrated.
