Margaret gall/patrick mcaulay
« on: Tuesday 08 February 11 17:56 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,

I'm unable to further my info' on the marriage of Patrick Alexander MCAulay and Margaret Kane Gall which i think was in Stirling 1946. I believe that Patrick Mcaulay was/is my uncle possibly my mother's(Mary Mcaulay) brother and that unusually Margaret Gall was my Father/William Henderson Gall's Sister I know it sounds odd but if I could prove or disprove this through anyone's help I would be most grateful.

Numptie.

Hi Numptie

The only way for you to move this forward is to either order the marriage cert or perhaps view this entry at a genealogy centre with direct access to the more modern BMD entries (not sure if this is practical depending on where you are).

You need to take some care on information on the open forum given how recent these events are and they may still be living or their close family members.

Monica  :)

Possible death that will have to be ordered

1965 MCAULAY MARGARET Not Permissible GALL DEA Female aged 64 at STIRLING /STIR

Confirmation of the marriage and it is possible that Margaret was widowed/divorced, again the certificate will have to be ordered

1946 MCAULAY PATRICK ALEXAND and DEA MARGARET KANE STIRLING /STIRLING
1946 MCAULAY PATRICK ALEXAND and GALL MARGARET KANE STIRLING /STIRLING

Hello

I just seen your post doing a search while searching my family tree on ancestry. My great grandads sister is Margaret Kane Dea. She married into both the Gall and McAulay family from what I have found. I have little information on Margaret apart from both Alexander McAulay name and John Stuart Gall name. I have put a family tree together of what I know of on ancestry from research. Margaret 1900-1965. John Gall 1899-1944. Margaret and John married in Blythswood, Renfrewshire, Scotland in 1924.

Margaret had 11 other siblings three of those are half siblings. My great Grandad is called Patrick Dea he was born in 1902 the younger brother of Margaret.

Please contact me for more information. I'd love to know more about Margaret's family route for my tree. Let's exchange information.

Regards
Kirsty Dea
