Albert Marriott, Royal Field Artillery, Shoeing Smith. WW1.
« on: Monday 18 April 05 12:51 BST (UK) »
Can anybody give me information about Albert Marriott, Royal Field Artillery, Shoeing Smith. His military grave is in the Gringley-on-the-Hill Cemetery. I know he was born in South Clifton, Nottinghamshire around 1888. he features on my Website www.stannington.webitsmart.co.uk because he must have been in the Bradfield area during WW1. I am researching - Stannington, Sheffield and the surrounding parish. He died in 1917 during the Great war.  Full details can be found on my website.

Any help or information greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Robert.

I wondered if he was a Shoeing Smith in his civilian life. I am also interested in how he made the move from Nottingham to Bradfield.

Obviously any information about his immediate family would be nice.

He died at home or in a local hospital, so I wondered if anybody had any details about this. Did he die as a result of wounds or illness

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks .................. Robert.
