I am having trouble deciphering these addresses. Do you think they could be Church Street and Lawson Street.

There is a Lawson Street in North Shields, not far away from Church Street. The certificate has Western Town, Tynemouth at the top, which I imagine would make an address in North Shields quite possible.

National Archives website have a 1891 Street Index for Tynemouth.  Nothing leaps out as being obvious though. It would agree it could be Lawson Street but I'm not sure

The street following Lawson just looks a bit different from the street above. Is that a smudge or a dot on a letter 'i'.If it's an 'i',I can't imagine what the word is.Street looks the most obvious.

The address is from a marriage certificate dated 1888 and both were from North Shields so, as genjen says the roads are near to each other there, I guess that is it. They must have lived near each other. I agree though the bottom Street looks different.

Thank you all for your help.
