elisha wakefield 1833- any siblings please?
« on: Tuesday 15 February 11 09:35 GMT (UK) »
i am looking for siblings of elisha wakefield born abt 1833 in leckhampstead. his parents were jane and richard wakefield.

i have a 1841 census in which there is only richard and son elisha. jane died in abt 1841. if elisha was the only one living at home still in 1841 then i have to assume if he had any siblings they would be older than him by a few years.

many thanks

Hi
There is a Elijah Wakefield baptised in Beedon Berks 12 feb 1832 to Richard and Jane, is that him?
If so he had a sister Harriet baptised 16 mar 1834. There is also a Hannah baptised 1829 to Richard and Jane, that is Cheveley. All this on Familysearch

just had another look at my tree and in 1841 aged 8 elisha and his father were living in beedon, so i think that baptism must be right. so harriett is right too :)

im not sure about hannah though, i might need to look for the marriage of richard wakefield. i think his wife was jane chapman according to other trees. maybe if they got married in cheively then hannah may be their child too :)

yay spot on with hannah too i would think, richard and jane married in chievley in may 1829 and hannah was jun 1829 so it may have been a rush marriage lol :)
