Charles Billingsley 1861 - 1871 - 1891
« on: Thursday 17 February 11 12:26 GMT (UK) »
Charles Billingsley lived in Packwoood Warwick with the Wareham family in the 1881 census. His age is 20, his birthplace is given as Brewood Stafford and his occupation Blacksmith Apprentice.

Can anyone see him in the 1861, 1871 or 1891 census?

Thanks for that. The full details would be nice, thank you. I did wonder if Ann Wareham (1881) was his mother.

I treid to find Joseph and Anne Warehams marriage, thinknig like you that maybe Anne was nee Billingsley and thus an older child of Wm and Mary. But no success there.
But maybe he was a late child of WM and MAry as it says.
Need to get his birth cert, I guess, to find out!

Thanks for your help.  A Charles Stanley Billingsley is listed in Freebmd Penkridge 6b 378 June 1868. so I will order that and then we may know who his mother was. AND maybe his father.

Yes you are correct. - 1860

I found  Joseph Warham married Ann Billingsly 24th Oct 1868 in Ashted Warwick. (Familysearch) So it looks as if young Charles was conceived on the wrong side of the sheets.
