My great uncle was a teacher in southport from about 1890's to post 1911. His name was Andrew Rogers and his wife was eleanor. As far as I know they had 4 children - sheila, kenneth, Douglas and Andrew. One of the daughters-in-law was an artist who designed one of the windows in Liverpool Cathedral (dont know which one). The family lived in Arundel Road Southport.

You didn't sound totally convinced about the 4 children, will these help?

Kenneth Leslie Rogers, b Q2 1901, Ormskirk Lancashire (right reg. district for Southport). Vol 8b, page 870
Sheila Rogers, b Q2 1903. Registered Ormskirk,  Vol 8b p 930
Douglas Chrystal Rogers Q2 1905, Ormskirk, vol 8b, p 950

Not so sure about Andrew - there are several Lancashire possibilities but none immediately come up matching the Ormskirk registration of the elder 3.
