Simon & Fanny Brenner (Poland)
« on: Tuesday 22 February 11 12:55 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,

I'm looking for any information on Simon (b.abt 1849) & Fanny Brenner (nee Soloman) (b.abt 1850), born in Poland and moved to Whitechapel, London with 1 daughter. I have found them on 1881/91/1901 census but I was hoping to find out some information on their life before London. I have also found their Burial Records on Ancestry. They went on to have several other children in Whitechapel.

I think they are my great greatgrandmothers parents. Her name was Rose Caroline Brenner (b.abt 1871).

Thanks in advance

Marc

They appear to have married in Poland as the 1881 shows eldest child Sarah born there in 1867/68

Rose b 1870 was their first child born in England

Have you checked the 1911 census for Simon (he only died in 1916) as it may show a specific place in Poland where he was born and it will also show the number of years married which may help
Census Information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
Carlin (Ireland & Liverpool) Doughty & Wright (Liverpool) Dick & Park (Scotland & Liverpool)

Hi Carole,

I haven't checked the 1911 yet. I ran out of credits and I was going to wait for Ancestry to publish them before I spend anymore money!

I'm going to have a search on Jewishgen too.

Thanks for your reply.
