No unfortunately not Leonie. Wish there were. That family was the only listing in 1841.  Not really achieving a lot I am afraid. More confusion than answers.

Kris
It is no small feat that you have managed to sort out the shipping problem. It goes to show how careful you have to be when gathering information. The fact that some one put Mary Ann BURDEN as the wife of Joseph HODGSON arriving on the "Thomas Harrison" in 1839 has caused great confusion.   >:(
You have stopped me from going in the wrong direction that's for sure. ;D
I will keep checking out the HODGSONs from the Mount Barker area I think there is some answers there. The Joseph who died 1855 buried at Murryatville worth looking at.
Cheers Leonie

Looks Like both Josephs had sons Joseph

Joseph James HODGSON  and Elizabeth SHAW had children from 1853 1 in Alberton, 1 in Hindmarsh and then Pt Gawler and finally Two Wells

Joseph HODGSON and Mary Ann BURROWS/BARROWS had children from 1858 all over, in New Tiers, Coxs Creek, Oakbank, Queenstown, Findon, Beverley, Coxs Creek, Sommertown, Mt Lofty

One only listed to Joseph Tyson HODGSON and Julia Cooper in Western Flat. (Looks like he certainly is from Cumberland, (Tysons children born Penrith) so he may  be connected in some way)

Now Cox's Creek and Joseph HODGSON here would seem to tie Joseph = Mary Ann BURROWS to Joseph who died in 1855 and possibly Ann

Just wish I could find some sign of the mother. Died soon after arrival perhaps.

Removed Hannah's death. I had found it earlier but didn't seem relevant at the time. (took me a while to go back  there) What a bonus with the death notice Essie.  ;D

possible sibling marriage

JERVIS George Full age father not recorded - Fanny HODGSON minor father not recorded  29 Mar 1843 Holy Trinity Church Adelaide Dist Ade 1 55

Looking in Cumberland (Dacra) I wondered since Tyson was from Dacre.

Births to Joseph and Hannah

Fanny 25 Jun 1826
William 12 Oct 1828
Joseph 4 Sep 1831
Ann 8 Jun 1834
Thomas 2 Jul 1837

Thank You Kris and Essie :-*
Essie how in the world did you find that death for Hannah HODGESON in Trove. None of the words except Hannah were transcribed correctly. Truly amazing  :D
Kris fantastic. Those births fit exactly with the records of the children on the "Thomas Harrison" Wonderful Wonderful  :D
This family is finally coming together.

Yes it certainly was a brilliant find by Essie. The icing on the cake.  ;D Once I had mothers name I was off  to Cumberland again, thinking if the ship was correct the birth probably was also. I had already wondered about the marriage for Fanny.  I haven't had any joy with a marriage of Joseph and Hannah yet. I did hunt for the family in the census and couldn't find them so I think its a good chance it is your family. They certainly have not made the hunt easy, but it is great that it is all coming together.
