ricks jersey help please

Just come across a gentleman called GEORGE RICKS born c1863 ST MARTINS JERSEY
I was wondering if anyone could help me find his parents etc, or at least point me in the right direction please.

thanks so much for that info, thats a good step in the right direction. I was wondering if you had the 1861 census as well please - and if so would be so kind in looking up either or both George and Joshua.
The reason I am asking about this family is, I found the vessel 1881 info on George and have got intrigued because I have lots of photos and a few are taken at studios in Jersey and I had no idea who they might be. So Im hoping that just maybe it the Ricks side of the family

Sorry I can't find either of them on the 1861 census, they must have been born after the census was taken. i would ask for a lookup for both their births in Jersey.
