This is getting a bit long winded sorry :) I thought it might .

Fred or Fredrick Kidwell died at sea 1920 while coming home to Staffordshire ,

I cannot see that they would have put him on a return passage  ;)

so , because I believe the GRO papers for his death on board are losted  ::)

I wondered if any mention in a paper or anything might crop up, his trip was to Hanley ,

In 'GRO Marine Deaths Indices (1903-1965) 1920-1920' there is a

Kidwell, Fred age 59 - name of vessel Kaiserin Auguste Victoria (not sure if 'Victoria' belongs or is for the next line down) page 155
