1851 and 1861 census records for Frances Mary Guy
« on: Sunday 27 February 11 00:59 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for the 1851 and 1861 census records for Frances Mary Guy (nee Edwards), in 1843 in Trevethin, Monmouthshire she married an Irishman Thomas Guy who had been born in Waterford, she herself had been born in Trevethin, Monmouthshire in 1817, if someone could help me out I would be very grateful.

Kind Regards

Bethan

I don't know if this is yours

1861

Thomas Guy 41 Born Chichester - Physician with the army
Frances Mary Guy 41 Born Pontypool
Adelaide N Guy 11 Born Tasmania
William Guy 8  Born Yarmouth
Charlotte M P Guy 5 Born Maindee, Monmouhshire
Louisa Guy 2 Born Rochester Kent
Elizabeth Woore 15  Servant
Ann Duncan 63 Lodger
Charlotte Hogben 32 Lodger

RG9/552/26/47

They are living in Eltham Kent

Can't find a 1851 census but if Adelaide born in Tasmania 1850 they may have not been in country.

I have the family on the 1871, 1881 census.  On the 1891 Thomas is remarried so Frances has died.

Have found a few marriages of a Thomas Guy to a Frances - but only the 1843 pontypool marriage to a Frances Mary.

If you need the other census information please let me know

Hope this helps

at the time of their marriage in 1843, Thomas was of the parish of St Patrick, Waterford. Nothing to say where he was born. His father, William, was also a surgeon.

missed the marriage entry (I searched under J - ???) but found this:

1841 Census

Ann Guy 1791 - Born Sussex

Living East Wittering Sussex

1851

William Guy 1781 - Born Chichester Sussex - Retired General Practitioner in Medicine
