Trealaw Cemetary
« on: Monday 28 February 11 12:09 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for my Great Aunts grave, also my Great Grandparents. I think they may be buried in Trealaw Cemetary.

Catherine Davies who lived in Thomastown....born 1886 and died 1957 (I don't know the name of her husband)

Lewis Williams  born 1849
Elizabeth Williams born 1854      they lived in Pentre.  They must have died between 1890 and 1894 because their 3 youngest children were put into a home in 1894.

I would be grateful if anyone has any info on this cemetary

hello fishsticks
go to www.trealawcemetery.proboards.com/index.cgi this is a forum site by the look of it so you should find what you need on there only i looked up the council website for glamorgan which has all cemeteries including trealaw on it and they want between £15 and £28 to do a look up in the registers , thats an extortionate amount of money that most cemeteries will do for nothing .

best wishes

Hi Trevor

Thanks for that, I will get on to it straight away.  Glamorgan archives are expensive, I agree.

Best Wishes
Jan

Hi  Thanks for the info.  The Elizabeths are wrong unfortunately, the ages and dates do not add up with my info.

I am having great difficulties tracing both Elizabeth and Lewis.,  I think they may have been Baptists as the three children who wre put into the home were described as being Baptists.  I may try Penrys Cemetery as I read that a lot of baptist graves were put in there.

As for Catherine, she was born in 1886 in Pentre.  She has no middle name and I think she died 1956/7 as I have a solicitors receipt for the sale of the house etc. dated 1957.  She lived in Meyler Street  Thomastown  Tonyrefail.  I've tried Trane Cemetery and she is'nt there.  I don't know her husband's name.

I'm very greatful for your help
