Hi

Our McCarthys are from Clonmel.  John McCarthy married Johanna Morrissey in 1866, he was a Baker. They had 7 children

Charles, Patrick, John Joseph, Justin, Richard, Margaret Mary and Johanna Mary  all born between 1869 and 1881 and I am trying to trace their descendents.  Do these names mean anything to you?

Ancilla

Hi my great grand mother was Mary McCarthy born in Cork City approx 1858, her father was Thomas and her mother Margaret. Mary married George (Joseph) Goodman, a British soldier, in Clonmel, Co Tipperary in 1875. They also lived in Rickmansworth England where their children, including my grand father Hubert, were born. Mary's mother was living at 32 William Street Cashel in 1888. Mary returned to Clonmel in the 1890s. Not sure if there is any connection with your family and unfortunately that is all that I have on Mary and her McCarthy family.

They have passed legislation for this release and i have read that they are hoping it would be ready for a full scale release for the 100th anniversary "celebrations". This is of course unless the irish government decides there's not enough money for it and decide to drop it - don't think this will happen though.

Did you get the marriage cert of Michael McCarthy and Mary Hennessy. If not Rootsireland has one that looks possible 1890 in Fethard. Also a bit puzzled why you think Michael was born in cork in both census he gives place of birth as Tipperary.
