Elisha ROSS, Brown Co., Ohio

Hello:

I'm stymied trying to locate a birth family for my great-great-grandfather, Elisha ROSS. I believe he was born in the 1790s but don't know where. Later censuses of the children note their father was born Ohio.

He married Casander/Cassandra FIGGINS 10 Nov 1819, Bracken County, KY; Casander was from there.

They had the following children in Ohio, most likely Brown County:

Oliver Perry, 1823 (m. Ellen/Elanor ?BLAIR?)
Editha Jane, 1826 (m. 1) Jacob DAWSON; 2) Henry M. PICKERING)
Minerva, 1830 (m. Moses H. HATHAWAY)
Marshall, 1832 (m. Clarissa GAYLORD)
Hartford, 1834 (m. Margaret PENNY)

Elisha may have had a brother Thomas. An 1839 Brown County will for a Thomas ROSS names "Elisha's heirs" therein.

Elisha ROSS' 1834 Brown County will was probated in October that year.

Any information or advice on locating the birth family of Elisha ROSS would be very much appreciated.
