ancestors 1700's near GrandPont - Berks or Oxon ?

I have ancestors called Grey who lived in St Aldates Street near Folly Bridge in 1740's thru to late 1800's and then returned to the other side of Folly Bridge but which PR's
do i look for if they originally came from the Grand Pont side of the River ?

What is this classified as Berkshire ...New Hinksey ?

Entry in Colin Harris' book  of Oxfordshire Parish Registers lists:-

Grandpont(or Grampound) tithing -see St Aldates Oxford

Hmmm...that does not help much !

The first entry for GRAY in the St Aldates transcript is 1741,which I assume you have

Berkshire was the south or, in this area west, side of the river (Thames/Isis).
