1861 and 1871 look up please for Cowsill
« on: Thursday 21 April 05 17:44 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I am looking for a Benjamin Cowsill in Lymm area.  From parish registers it appears he had two marriages with numerous children in each.  The registers also list children's births under various father's occupations, fustian cutter and bricklayer.  I am hoping to get them sorted out and see if there may have been more than one Benjamin Cowsill in the area.

The gentleman I am looking for would have been born 1822, Lymm.  In 1847 he married Ann Kerfoot and then in 1865 married Elizabeth Clarke in Lymm as well.

Thanks for any help.

Judy

I too am wondering about Benjamin Cowsill and why I have a copy of a contract for him to employ a 16 year old Martha Eppleston dated 12/ 09/1872 as a fustian cutter for 3yrs.

I have been researching old, family, Barrett documents, origin - sale, cheshire. england. We are now in Australia.

Anything you can tell would be gratefully appreciated, especially if it relates to the Barrett family.

regards wendox

I have a Martha Eppleston, born 1857 in Altrincham in my tree.  If further details are given on the contract might you be able to scan it for me?  I hope this isn't a cheeky request.  I'm just looking to add further details to my family history and bring them to life a little.  With thanks
