If you are trying to trace the family in Ireland you'll need to know both the family's religion and where they lived (parish if not actual townland) but most church records pre-1800 don't exist.

Have a look at Introduction to Irish Records and My Ancestor came from Ireland - where do I start?.

Hello Lin.  It's going to be very difficult to find Irish records that far back - it's not impossible but....

These are the Graney families listed on Griffiths

http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml

There are also a few families on A....try that have this couple at the head of their family trees.  Might be worth contacting them to see if they can help.

Madri

Ancestry Library Edition does not include the family tree section of Ancestry.

None of the public trees on ancestry have any parents or siblings for either Michael or Mary.  They do have children for this couple with the most being 11 in one tree.
