John, I recall seeing an article here about Lady Rosa Blunden who went off with a John Reagan. I cannot see the article anymore and I wonder if there is still information available about that story. Noller

Thank you indeed. My line of enquiry is thus; MY GGG Grandparents are John Regan and Rose Blunden.  Our line down from them is very straightforward with all our baptisms registered in Ballybricken Church i.e Trinity Without, Waterford.  The only Rose that I can find of that  period is indeed the descendant of the Blunden Castle clan. This Rose was baptised in St. John's Waterford in 1804.  No marriage record found for her and  Grandpa John.  While our Rose was having a family with Grandpa John Regan, the 1821 Waterford census has her living at an address in Waterford with members of her own family. Two different Roses?  That is the quandary!

I can't identify Rose Blunden of Castle Blunden at all. No record of her baptism in either the RC Kilkenny churches or the archives if the C of I in Dublin. Like as she never existed....
