I have a relative, Joseph Loomis, who was born in Braintree, Essex Co., England in   1590.  He was a wool draper and sailed from England to the United States on the ship Susan and Ellen arriving in Boston April 11,  1638.

What is a wool draper and does anyone have any additiional information about a Joseph Loomis.  His descent family members' family name was Lummys going back to Thraxsted County of Essex England (1469 to 1562).
