Taynton children in Cowbridge

Does anyone know why I can't find the births of Taynton children in Cowbridge. Francis was born 1800 but I have other names that I think are brothers -John, Henry, William. I also have the names Eliza, Caroline and Harriet but don't know if they are siblings or cousins. I know Francis Taynton was born in Cowbridge and am stuck.
Any help gratefully received.

Where have you looked? I found a possible record for the family on freereg:
Francis on 4th Feb 1802 at Cowbridge Parish Church
Father's name Francis and Mother's name Jane

Francis Taynton Snr died 1835 age 68 and his will should be available online at the National Library of Wales site (except I had an error when I tried to view it tonight!) This may confirm the name of his children....

Genuki has MIs for Holy Cross Churchyard, Cowbridge, Glamorgan:

It has the grave of Jane Taynton, and mentions "Reverend Francis Taynton the only son of the Francis & Jane Taynton born August 14th 1799 died December 26th 1870" so Francis was the only son according to the MI. It also mentions Col William Henry Taynton youngest brother of Francis Snr. so perhaps some of the names you have relate to siblings of Francis Snr.

Thank you so much for your help and suggestions. I had never heard of freereg, I've only used freebmd which, of course, only starts in 1837. The 1802 date helps so much, I'd only been looking at 1799-1801 [from the census].

Not sure whether you have the Marriage of Francis Snr and Jane?

You should be able to get a copy of this marriage bond from National Library of Wales, as well as the Will of Francis Taynton 1835

Thank you so much. I did as you suggested and tried the Library for Francis snr's will but found the same error. I reported it and had a nice reply saying that they have a hardware problem at the moment.
I clicked on attach a photo but can't see how to do it. Other options show but not for that. Am I missing something?
