Hi
Have you looked on freebmd?     The mother's maiden name is shown after 1911.   There are a couple of possibles but we cannot post them here as they may be still living.

Andrea hello, yes i have looked on Free bmd.I was told that Emily had a son called Cecil Cobb.

There is a Cecil Cobb birth 1918 and death 1993 REDBRIDGE  , he is not on Free bmd so i cannot see who his mother was.

Thanks for the advice...............Tim

I can't see a suitable birth in 1918.  The nearest is 1917 and that mother is not Dann.  Ages are often a year out on death certificates so that may possibly have happened here.

Hi,
Could Cecil have been born abroad, his father in the services?
On the Consular Birth Indices there is a
Cecil Cobb born Port Said, Egypt between 1916 and 1920, mmn not given before 1966 and no specific year though there is a reference number.
On freebmd you can see two births and there is a large gap between them, perhaps Cecil fits in there.
Did find a Harry James Cobb,  on board ship abroad in 1911.

Cathy :)
modified, sorry Harry James(no Geoffrey), also another possible in the Army in india. If you think this may be Cecil there is a marriage and passenger list, born 25/06/1918
Sinnock/Sinnicks...Brighton,Greenwich.
