I do not think this is the right Charles.
I have the marraige certificate of James Dack and Sarah Ann Kinsley 26th May 1840 - Hunworth Parish Chursh, Norfolk - showing James father as 'Charles'

Family Search is new to me, I have just had a look I get 1841 census showing Charles Born 1776 'greensleeves' you have found 1810 with Baptism details?

How do I get info from the Parish Church, maybe a silly question but hey I am new to all this !!

http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#p=waypoint&s=waypointsOnly&c=fs%3A1416598&w=0

Scroll through the list of parishes until you get to Hunworth and it will show you the documents available.  I selected Baptisms and the record is, I believe, at the bottom of page 2.

... and don't apologise for not knowing how to go about things.  :)  We were all new to this at some point.  I am by no means very experienced - there are some brilliant people on here who have given me a huge amount of help, and who have showed me where to look for stuff.  And I am still learning!

Well I have learnt something tonight !
Thats the first time I looked at Parish records - Thank you for your help

Its a strange feeling to see names of past relatives so long ago, I just wish my mom was alive to share it.

I shall carry on digging and delving

There's an LDS member submit for James christened to Charles & Elizabeth.I think this is the same couple on the Norfolk christenings which end 1812 so won't show James' christening.so without going there & looking at the PR's it appears James' parents are Charles Dack & Elizabeth Giles.

There's an LDS member submit for Charles' marriage to Elizabeth Giles/15 Aug.1798 Hunsworth.
Christened/23/4/1775/Felthorpe/Fa.Charles/Ma.Elizabeth.
Charles b.1811 that GS found married Mary Wagg/9/Oct.1831/Hunsworth

Yes I think I do agree on that, so I guess my next step is to get something on there marraige.
How far back do Marraige certificate go?

I think I will have to leave that one to another day - work tomorrow !

Marriage certs didn't start until July 1837 so to go before that you will need to view the Parish Registers but they will not include fathers names only witnesses.
