Brilliant Wozzle, thanks very much once again!

I think I have everything for the Chissels in Scotland - well, that's until later this week when the 1911 Census comes out!!

I have no idea who John Chissel and Mary Pinhey are.

I think I found George in 1841 (spelt Chesel on the image, transcribed as Chesele) working as an Ag. Lab alongside a Maria Pinney (who's transcribed as Henney), and ..... on the 1st half of the page, there's another Sarah Penney aged 20 working as a Farm Servant.

I don't know whether my George had any siblings - I think it'll be quite difficult to verify any relationships between him and the other Chissels in the same area.

I thought with a name like Chissel, there wouldn't be too many variants - how wrong was I!!
