Marriage David HARRIS to Mary Ann CHAPMAN in 1852
« on: Sunday 10 April 11 21:45 BST (UK) »
Fellow listers

I understand that David HARRIS married Mary Ann CHAPMAN on 18 October 1852, somewhere in Surrey, possibly Lambeth.

Can anyone let me have details including the names of the parties' parents?

I am also keen to find these people in the 1851 census, so an indication of their ages would be helpful. My research in Australia suggests that he was born in about 1826 and she in about 1829; is there any evidence that would support or refute this?

Kind regards

Hi,

The marriage certificate should show the name and occupation of the fathers;  witnesses might be family members but the relationship is not shown.

If you want to order a copy of the certificate these are the details:

David Harris   DecQ 1852    Lambeth  1d    426

Thanks Nanny Jan

Yes, after 40 years of researching, I have a fair collection of English marriage certificates!  I think the details of this marriage may be available online; indeed I have reason to believe that it might even be possible to get an image of the marriage certificate.

Thanks for taking the time to write.

Kind regards

Philip
