Coole House Millstreet Co Cork - Completed
« on: Monday 11 April 11 22:10 BST (UK) »
Trying to find out when the historical home & farmland, Coole House Millstreet was sold c 1915. An ancestor of mine Mary McCarthy (nee Bingham) inherited this property from Jane O'Donnell. Could a Millstreet local inform me if this home is still standing / lived in today. I've found some early history about Coole House online, but now I'm wanting post 1911 information. With thanks, Valsgirl (Brisbane Australia)

Completed, with help offline, very much appreciated.

Hello Podonoghuekelly,
Mary Bingham (McCarthy) was my Grandfather, William Bingham's Aunt. Her sisiter Lizzy Bingham (Perry) was Sarah Perry's mother.
Sarah 1882 - 1967 is, therefore, distantly related to me, but I've spend ages following her life story. She really interests me!
I'm assuming your ancestor is the sculptor, John Davis (Davies) - later adding Malcolm to his surname.
I'd like to discuss Sarah & John's life with you in a personal mail.
Cheers,
Valsgirl
