Without buying their marriage certificate, is there any way of finding out her former surname, please? I have tried searching for the marriage for an Agnes to Samuel Nesbitt without success so far.

Samuel's first wife died in 1891; I have her death certificate.

He and Agnes married June qr Belfast district in 1895 (from the Mormons' site.) The 1911 census tells me that they had been married for 16 years which verifies the marriage registration.

Thank you very much to both of you.

Yes, Samuel's father was Robert, a joiner. That is interesting, that they married in the Church of Ireland; they both gave their religious denomination as Presbyterian in the 1901 and 1911 census.

Hi,
The bride may have been Church of Ireland before marriage, married in her own church which was normal and then adopted her husbands religion after marriage, again normal.
