Well, I'm in a quandry now.

By the look of things it may be that Edith's "mother" Mary Ann may have been a relative if the entry in the 1881 Census of unmarried is correct.

Further investigation is under way!!

Again many thanks for all those who have helped me.

Hi Dawn

The mother is shown as Mary Ann Pinnock of 4 Osborne Road, Acton. Father's name is blank.

Hi again Dawn

Something that may help with this, in the 1891 Census, William was living at 16 Stafford Road, Acton

Thanks again

Hi Kevin

A late baptism at All Saints South Acton

22nd July 1885 parents William & Polly Pinnock of 35 Stafford Road, South Acton, labourer

Edith born 23 Aug 1875
William born 2 Oct 1880

Dawn

Talking of Strafford Road, Acton.....would anyone be able to tell me how I could find some pictures of Strafford Road as my family come from the Acton area and lived in that road.

Sorry if I have intruded on your message, but I have been trying to find pictures for a long time and found nothing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Jackie

Hi Jackie

Cannot find anything on the web to show Strafford Road as it was. By the look of street view on Google maps, the street looks to have been re-developed over the years.
