Tombstone Needs Words Darkened on Face Please
« on: Thursday 21 April 11 00:18 BST (UK) »
Hello all...

I have searched high and low for this grave.  Finally found it over in Abney Park Cemetery and the researcher there was kind enough to take a picture of it for me and include the transciption.  Can someone please put in the words for me so that I might be able to share this headstone with others.  THANKS ever so MUCH!  I truly cannot express to you enough HOW much your hard effords mean to me.  All of you amaze me beyong belief.  Thanks once again.

Hello Carole,
As you can see from the attached images, I have located three graves. The Barrow grave had the sun on it but I can re-photograph it another day.
The stone is eroding, but I managed to write down most of the inscription.

Still can't read the inscription - but the stone is a bit cleaner and a few letters are easier to read  -  I can't do lettering by hand let alone on the computer!!   ::)   :-\

Hi there ...thanks for the help.  I am not sure when Charlotte died but I would imagine it was in the 1800s because she would have been buried at Abney if she was older.  I could not find her in any census records past the 1861 census.

I was hoping for someone to use the indentations on the tombstone and fill in following the lettering.  Thanks again for all of your help!!!

Will be waiting on tippy toes until you return OH JIM...you do have a way with filling in the crevices of these old old stones so they are in the right ledges...will be patiently waiting. Thanks once again one and all.
