What is at this address (local knowledge please)?

I have an August 1944 birth at Sandhill, Pembury Kent,mother's usual address Sunnyside,Maidstone Road,Lenham, Kent (Hollingbourne RD).

Are/were either of those places mother and baby homes?

The 'father' later denied that the child was his and divorced the mother because of it,so I suspect all was not as it seemed...........especially as the family were from Edmonton Middlesex 

For it to have been her 'usual' address how long would she have had to live there.I know for a marriage they needed to have been there for at least 3 weeks.

From a previous thread on RootsChat about "Sandhill" as a place of birth:

Pembury workhouse became Pembury County Hospital (later part of Pembury hospital) in 1938.

To be honest, I didn't search Rootschat first (shh!) I just Googled 

I don't know about patient records - I would have thought it was too recent.  You can but try, though.  Maybe someone will know where they're held.
