Hi,

This is the marriage, if you order the marriage certificate you will get her father's name.

Elsie M Cox married Thomas Reay in 1920 Birkenhead, Cheshire (vol. 8a 1446).

Hello copperreay and welcome to rootschat.

Your message is a bit vague and I notice that you mention her brother Hubert on another thread and Wallasey so I am assuming that you perhaps may know a bit more?
Free BMD indexes has a marriage for Thomas Reay and Elsie M Cox June quarter 1920, Birkenhead so that looks good - you could send for that certificate for their parents.
http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

Have you checked 1911 census indexes for Elsie or Hubert? http://www.1911census.co.uk/search/tnaform.aspx

I'll look to see if there are any other clues anywhere.
best wishes

They married as below

 Marriages Jun 1920
Cox  Elsie M  Reay  Birkenhead  Vol 8a page 1446

If you can obtain the marriage certificate it may help IE as father and parish of abode

As for her birth there are a lot of Elsie Cox birth but if you can find her on the 1911 census near Birkenhead or Liverpool it might help.

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Do you know where she was born?
